Step away from the mirror in your bedroom! Stop pretending your brush is a microphone! Learn to be a fearless singer in front of your friends and family members!

This 6 week program will teach you how to present yourself as a solo artist in front of an audience. You’ll practice and perform in front of your peers for feedback and encouragement. At the end of the program you’ll perform a concert at Valley View!

 

Supplies: Your voice and a fearless attitude!

 

Schedule:

Week 1: We’ll warm up your voices and each of you will share the type of performer you’d like to be.

Week 2: You’ll bring in 2 songs to choose from to work on and your peers will help you decide. You’ll sing an excerpt of each song and tell the others why you chose these songs. 

Week 3: We dive right in and start working on your song. Each of you will present information based on the homework from the prior week and you will sing a verse and chorus of your song. We will learn about image branding.

Week 4: Time for the first run-through! Each of you will perform your full song in front of your peers. Share your branding ideas with the group. We will discuss ways to improve your presentation and performance. 

Week 5: We will discuss the arc of a songlist set. The group will decide the order of performers and we’ll have a run-through. The group will vote on an MC for the event.

Week 6: Full run-through of the event! Hi-fives and Hoo-rahs!

 

$150.00 for all 6 classes plus the concert
